CoWare Named to Silicon Valley's Fastest Growing Private Companies List

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 21, 2002--The Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal has ranked CoWare(TM), Inc. 13th in its recently published list of the 50 fastest growing private companies in Silicon Valley. Ranked as the fifth fastest growing private company last year, CoWare is one of only five companies that ranked in the top 20 for two consecutive years.

The ranking, which tracks privately-held Silicon Valley companies that have reported a three-year growth in sales, was based on financial information provided by CoWare and verified by PricewaterhouseCoopers. As the leading supplier of system-level electronic design automation (EDA) software and services for system-on-chip (SoC) designers, CoWare's revenue has a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 45 percent over the last three years.

"This ranking is one more validation of our continued success and proves CoWare is a company to watch," says Alan Naumann, CoWare president and chief executive officer (CEO). "We are giving electronics companies what they need -- an efficient and cost-effective means to design complex chips."

The listing was published as a supplement to the October 12, 2002 edition of the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. CoWare was presented the award at a dinner ceremony held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose.
